More of a journal than a musical album, this chronicles the first 8 days that Melissa and I spent in New Lenox, IL with Kyle Hall's family and friends. Melissa and I were traveling cross-country for 30 days by Greyhound in the summer of 2010 and Kyle's was the first place we wanted to visit. It was the first time we ever met in person after having spent a year or more exchanging letters and songs. These were all recorded in Kyle's dad's basement in the evenings every day.

The album cover is the flyer that was used for a benefit open mic concert and album release show where the donation proceeds went towards a round-trip plane ticket for me to return to New Lenox, IL on 12/26/2010 and I ended up staying that winter for about 10 days. I am forever grateful and indebted to Kyle and his friends and family who put all the money they had just to get me to travel back that winter. They were some of the most incredible times of my life and I'm glad to still call these people my friends. I love them and miss them all very much. Thank you. - Skye Evans
